The Centre’s mission is to familiarize a wide range of people, such as expectant mothers, athletes and workers, the handicapped, the elderly, infants and children with osteopathy.


The Health Care Centre is an integral part of the Osteopathic College of Provence.

It includes two facilities.

Consultation fees:

  • an annual fee of 70€ for unlimited access to the centres’ health care.
  • or a consultation fee of 10€ per visit.
  • a preferential fee of 2€ per consultation is available for students and beneficiaries of National Health Coverage (CMU, Couverture Maladie Universelle) upon presentation of their NHC card.

In all cases receipts for payment are provided for insurance purposes.




 
- Consultations -

Patients are treated by senior osteopathic medical students, under faculty supervision.

Consultation procedures are as follows:
- Detailed patient interview (medical history and daily activities)
- Examination of available medical records, including X-rays and lab tests
- Visual and physical examination of the patient
- Decision as to the patient’s admission for osteopathic treatment or referral to a doctor
- Osteopathic treatment in the absence of contraindication

A consultation usually lasts 45 minutes.

Documents required
If treatment is required following a medical incident (such as surgery or illness), you will be asked to provide:

  • X-rays
  • Results of lab tests
  • Any document relating to your medical history (specialist reports, medical file)

Following the consultation
Following consultation, and depending on your initial condition, it is not uncommon to experience a period of adaptation of a few days’ duration. As some of the body’s functions are restored, the body must find its balance.

Two facilities:

  • the main facility is located at the college, 50 rue Louis Grobet, and includes 12 treatment rooms and a room dedicated to posturology (diagnosis using stabilometric platforms)
  • an annex centre located in the Panier/Vieux Port district with 3 treatment rooms.

Opening hours
The care centres are open from Monday to Friday all day and Saturday morning
Morning hours: 08:00 – 12:30 (last appointment at 11:15)
Afternoon hours: 14:00 – 18:00 (last appointment at 16:45)

Priority is given at the rue Grobet centre to:

  • Expectant mothers (Monday mornings)
  • Children (Wednesday afternoons)
